Students will have the opportunity to visit the United States for a month, to engage in civic education and leadership studies and to learn more about the United States, its people and cultural diversity in America.
The Program is funded by the Public Affairs Office of the United States Embassy in Jakarta. All costs for the program will be paid by the United States Department of State and the program is free for all students who participate.
In Indonesia, the Center for Civic Education Indonesia (CCEI) will assist the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta and U.S. Consulate General in Surabaya and Medan with the administration of the program and student selection. Over 500,000 students from national, Christian, Hindu, Islamic (Muhammadiyah and NU) schools have participated in CCEI’s civic education programs.
